Ray is the founder of Granite Capital Holdings, an investment firm focused on identifying and investing in companies that can become long-term compounders.

 

Prior to Granite, he was the CEO of SBC Management, a multi-unit dermatology group based in Los Angeles. During Ray’s tenure, the company grew organically and inorganically at a CAGR of +50%. SBC was acquired by Hildred Capital Partners in October 2019 via a banker-led process with Deutsche Bank. 

Prior to SBC, Ray was an Executive-in-Residence at Gemini Investors, an investment firm focused on the lower middle markets; a founding member of Arborview Capital, a growth equity firm focused on the ESG sector; and an investment banker with Bank of America Merrill Lynch covering the business services
industry.

 

Ray holds an MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management, a B.S. from the University of Maryland, and a CFA.
